Fenbendazole, the ingredient in safe-guard® power-dose™ is the only one FDA-approved to treat all stages of encysted small strongyles. Administer one 57-gram syringe per 1250 lbs/day (10 mg/kg) for 5 consecutive days. Controls all stages of small strongyles, along with large strongyles, pinworms and roundworms. 98% effective in killing encysted el3’s. Safe for use in foals. Apple-cinnamon flavor makes it highly palatable to horses. The safe-guard® power-dose contains: (5) 1 -dose (57 gm) syringes of safe-guard paste (10% fenbendazole).
